Glora Allred Calls for the Arrest of Rush Limbaugh

You all know I feel about Gloria Allred. Well according to the Washington Post, she has sunk to a knew low; wanting to call for the arrest of of Rush Limbaugh. According to the article:

“Rush, I know that this all sounds very personal- and it is.” (Gloria Allred/Rumorfix)

CHICAGO, March 11, 2012— Celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred unleashed a two-pronged personal attack against Rush Limbaugh. She sent an open letter to RumorFix demanding, yes demanding, Rush be criminally prosecuted in Florida under an obscure 19th Century statute that protects the reputations of women.

It is one of those archaic laws, found in many states, that was never taken off the books.

Ms. Allred is appalled over Rush Limbaugh’s vulgar and profane attack on Sandra Fluke, the 23-year-old 30-year-old professional activist, who just happens to be a law student, on her way to being a professional celebrity activist.

Ms. Fluke has retained Anita Dunn, one of the president’s former communication advisors to represent her. This is no innocent babe in the woods.

Ms. Fluke has not retained Gloria Allred – yet. But in the grand tradition of ambulance chasers, Ms. Allred stated, “I don’t reach out to women, they reach out to me.” and “If she did reach out to me, obviously I would respond.” (Politico)

Translation- “Ms. Fluke, call me ASAP.”

Ms. Allred would have her soapbox, bully pulpit, and all the attention she could want.

The only things she loves and craves more than money.

Ms. Allred’s latest crusade is to freeze free speech. But, like the rest of the so-called progressive movement, only the free speech that disagrees with them. Ed Schultz, Bill Mahr, Randi Rhodes, Keith Olbermann, Mike Malloy, Al Sharpton, Louis CK, Matt Taibbai, Jesse Jackson, Progressive talk radio, and others can say whatever they want.

They are heroes, you see, fighting for the good and right cause.

Gloria Allred does not attack, write open letters to them. Nor does she hustle clients over their tasteless hate filled tirades against women and men. They have a right to free speech. They have a right to be offensive and repulsive. They have a right to be misogynist or misandrist.

They have the right to hate, be vile, offensive, vulgar, profane, vitriolic, tasteless, vituperative, or obscene.

They are the good (liberal) guys in the white hats fighting the evils of anyone who disagrees with their radical (left) extremist viewpoints.

Anyone who disagrees with them using the same uncivil language is a crude Neanderthal hate monger who must be silenced into extinction.

Gloria Allred has every right to spout her anger at Rush Limbaugh. As an attorney, she should know better, professionally and ethically, that the government cannot prosecute people for speech.

The law she cited would not hold up in any court in the land. Rush Limbaugh would not need an expensive team of lawyers as a first year law student could wipe the floor with a prosecutor over such a silly charge.

Of course Ms. Allred never let professionalism, legal knowledge, or ethics get in the way of her radical ideology. Heaven forbid they got in the way of a camera or microphone.

What Rush Limbaugh did was beyond the pale. But, Ms. Fluke is a professional activist. She is not some fresh-faced innocent. She was trained and educated to expect harsh personal criticism. It goes with the territory. When you throw your hat in the political arena you will get knocked down by the bull once in a while.

The test is whether you get up to fight the bull again or run away, while arena clowns, like Ms. Allred, distract the beast.

The real issue here is blatant hypocrisy. The left keeps demanding civility while practicing the worst forms of incivility.

Their position is “don’t do as I do, do as I say”.

This hypocrisy must be exposed and given as much publicity as Rush Limbaugh’s gaffes. It must be attacked with the same viciousness with which they attack free speech.

People, like Ms. Allred must be outed and exposed for what they really are. Not as radical extremist ideologues, but as pure, unadulterated hypocrites. They take hypocrisy to the highest levels of ridiculousness.

Prosecuting Rush Limbaugh would allow the government to chill free speech by making it a punishable criminal offense, which are what Allred and her fellow radical extremist travelers want. This was the main objective of political correctness. Hindering, censoring, and eventually outlawing free speech, free thought, and the dialogue of diverse ideas, no matter how repulsive.

Censorship is what political correctness was designed for. We have been on that road for decades. No one has the courage to fight back. Most surrendered. It is cowardly. It is giving in to bullies, despots, and tyrants.

Offensive, uncivil, tasteless, vulgar, profane, misogynist, misandrist, or obscene speech should be criticized. It should never be banned or censored. It should never be prosecuted.

This is not a war on women. It is a war on free speech. It is a war we must win. The only way to win is to hit back harder at the hypocrites on the left than they hit at their opposition. The progressives have to be forced to care about what they say and be held to the same accountability as they hold others.

One of the funniest things that I have said seen from this whole Rush Limbaugh debacle, is that the typical “feminists” are behind this.

Three others have entered the fray. Three washed up, has been, she-woman-men-haters club, have demanded Rush Limbaugh be silenced by the FCC: Jane Fonda, Gloria Steinem, and Robin Morgan, in an open letter on CNN are urging the FCC to pull the licenses of any station that airs Rush Limbaugh’s show.

All I can say, is to boycott those who have decided to leave the show. I’m with Limbaugh here.
